It almost seems funny how i am building a new assembly table and outfeed table at the same time you are but good timing none the less.

I like this plan because not only are there lots of pictures and notes but an instructional video is also available. Understanding wood shrinkage and learning to predict wood movement by species are key to making furniture that will stand the test of time and climate. I m just making that leap to woodworking full time gulp and setting up my shop a little better.
Many hand tool woodworkers though prefer a bench 1 or 2 inches lower allowing more leverage for hand plane and chisel use.
